During
my time at BYU-Hawaii I received several
awards and Scholarships.
One
of the most great experience that
I had here at BYU-Hawaii was the
opportunity to apply to many scholarships
with
the confidence that I would meet
the requirements to obtain them.
Being
married with a daughter was challenging,
but certainly trhough the support
of my wife and with the energy of
my one year and a half old daughter
those
challenges became simplier tasks
from the day-by-day student life.
The
Winter 2003 Awards that I received
were:
1-
I had the opportunity to attend
the
TESOL general conference in Baltimore,
Maryland under TESOL 392R class.
2-
I had the opportunity to present my
research studies in Linguistics in
language attrition and acquisition
at the 4th ISB- International
Symposium of Bilingualism, 2003
that occured in Tempe, Arizona, where
I was one of the presenters together
with my professor and research associates.
This award was under Linguistic 496R
Research studies.
Scholarships

Scholarship:

What
a bless to be able to receive this
$6,400.00 scholarship by the president's
council at BYU-hawaii, it helped me
a lot.
Perpetual

was granted $10,000.00 and I consider
this a huge bless even thou I only
used about $5,000.00.
